With extensive experience in banking, finance, and corporate legal work in the GCC, Gabriel has built a strong track record of transactions and advisory services within these fields. Before joining Silk Legal, Gabriel worked at Emirates REIT, the first listed Sharia’h compliant real estate fund in the UAE, where he was exposed to various types of investments and divestments.
Gabriel led the legal and compliance departments at Shuaa, the first and oldest listed investment bank in the UAE. During his tenure, Gabriel was involved in acquiring a listed entity in Kuwait through a Voluntary Acquisition Offer and in a Reverse Acquisition between entities in the UAE.
Gabriel also worked with Standard Chartered Bank in the UAE, where he provided advice on a wide range of transactional banking and corporate finance matters, with a focus on local and regional regulations. He also handled several M&A transactions, fund-related matters, and numerous IPOs, primarily while working in KSA. Gabriel also assisted clients with their regulatory and licensing needs when dealing with regulators across the GCC region.
