The Fresh Start Foundation, co-founded by Silk Legal, is a charitable organization that aims to provide vocational training to young adults in Chonburi province who are underprivileged and struggling to find employment. These individuals often lack the financial resources to pursue traditional education and support their families at the same time.
Fresh Start sponsors a trade apprenticeship training program that provides practical, hands-on experience to those who wish to learn a skilled trade. The apprenticeship typically lasts for several years and involves a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction. The program covers a broad range of skilled trades, such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, welding, HVAC, cooking, and hospitality services. Students are exposed to various aspects of the trade, including safety procedures, tool use, and trade-specific skills.
During the apprenticeship, trainees work under the guidance of experienced trades professionals who provide mentorship and training. They also attend classes or training sessions at local Technical Colleges to supplement their on-the-job learning. Upon completion of the program, apprentices are certified as having gained sufficient knowledge and skills to practice their trade independently.
